Skip Marley returns with his latest single, “Close,” following a sold-out European headlining tour. The track, produced by Rykeyz and accompanied by a music video directed by Gabriella Kingsley, premiered on BET Soul and the Paramount Times Square billboards. With a nod to Maxi Priest’s classic “Close To You,” Marley blends a slow-burning reggae groove with modern elements, showcasing his ability to transcend genres. Describing the song as both personal and symbolic, Marley hints at a new chapter in his musical journey.

Hailing from Kingston, Jamaica, Skip Marley creates with purpose, blending reggae, R&B, pop, and hip-hop to unify listeners. Since launching his career in 2015, he has collaborated with artists like Katy Perry, Damian Marley, and Major Lazer, earning a GRAMMY® nomination for his Higher Place album and breaking records with “Slow Down” featuring H.E.R. In 2024, Marley contributed a cover of “Exodus” for the Bob Marley: One Love biopic soundtrack and now embarks on his next musical chapter with “Close,” hinting at more music and live performances to come.
