Mystic Roots Band (MRB) is a Chico, CA born, 5-piece pop reggae fusion band. With two feet solidly in reggae, the band seamlessly juggles elements of dancehall, Hip-Hop, EDM, pop, and a taste of rock. The band is always sharpening their evolving musical arrangements of vocal harmonies that are made richer by the groups’ female/male dynamic. The music and lyrics are catchy and upbeat, yet with a powerful, positive message. Stay Positive Sound is a reggae based sound system.  Handling everything from producing events with headlining artists, weekly radio shows, studio production, dub plate recording sessions, live sound system rental and of course, top notch reggae selectors. 
  
Founded in 2002 from Chico, CA to San Diego, CA by cootdog and Rich-I, Stay Positive Sound is now also lead by Charles Burton AKA Selecta Diesel who has worked with the best artists in reggae and has toured all over the country with the Mystic Roots Band and Pato Banton as well as DJ PhG aka the American Sniper - host of 'Caribbean Dance Radio' and riddim aficionado. Cootdog is head Producer, MC, radio host, leader of Mystic Roots and ready to rock any crowd from reggae to hip hop to electronic dance music. Head engineer Rich Yudice AKA Rich-I The Dub Master has hand picked all sound equipment and is ready to run sound for any band or DJ act.
